Pulstar
Feb 8, 2011The basic gameplay is simple: progress through the levels in your spacecraft, collecting powerups and protecting your spacecraft from destruction. The game has very obvious similarities in design and gameplay to R-Type. It is actually believed that some ex-Irem employees left the company to join Aicom, which used to be a subcontractor for various coin-op manufacturers like Jaleco or SNK.
Despite the familiarities, Pulstar is not without innovations. There is the option of using the weapon power bar, which consists of two halves. The right-hand side of the bar turns blue when you depress the fire button, when fully charged your ship delivers a devastating emission of energy. Meanwhile the left-hand side turns red when it is continually pressed, shooting out a barrage of smaller, rapid blasts.
The in-game visuals are mostly pre-rendered 3D graphics, which gives the interactive elements a far more realistic appearance. Great care was taken to really place the player into the world of the game, with cinematic style cut scenes and pre-rendered movies.
There is a hefty reliance on strategy and not just blasting everything in sight. Using the charged weapon is key, and requires careful precision. Also, once you obtain a power up, a small orb appears at the posterior end of your ship. This can be used to your advantage by deflecting/absorbing oncoming enemy fire and taking out small enemies that run into it.

"True King Fist"?), is 2D arcade fighting game developed by Saurus and published by System Vision for the Neo-Geo arcade, Neo-Geo CD and Sega Saturn. Unlike the arcade version, in which the player could play as one of the bosses by entering a cheat code, the Sega Saturn version allowed the player to play as the bosses by just entering the versus mode.

Puzzle Bobble
Dec 10, 2010At the start of each round, the rectangular playing arena contains a prearranged pattern of coloured "bubbles". (These are actually referred to in the translation as "balls"; however, they were clearly intended to be bubbles, since they pop, and are taken from Bubble Bobble.) At the bottom of the screen, the player controls a device called a "pointer", which aims and fires bubbles up the screen. The colour of bubbles fired is randomly generated and chosen from the colours of bubbles still left on the screen.
The fired bubbles travel in straight lines (possibly bouncing off the side walls of the arena), stopping when they touch other bubbles or reach the top of the arena. If a bubble touches identically-coloured bubbles, forming a group of three or more, those bubbles—as well as any bubbles hanging from them—are removed from the field of play, and points are awarded.
.gif)
After every few shots, the "ceiling" of the playing arena drops downwards slightly, along with all the bubbles stuck to it. The number of shots between each drop of the ceiling is influenced by the number of bubble colours remaining. The closer the bubbles get to the bottom of the screen, the faster the music plays and if they cross the line at the bottom then the player dies and the game is over.
The objective of the game is to clear all the bubbles from the arena without dying. Bubbles will fire automatically if the player remains idle. After clearing the arena, the next round begins with a new pattern of bubbles to clear.

Pepsiman
Nov 30, 2010Pepsi Man was created in the early 90's as an official mascot for Pepsi in Japan. Since then, Pepsi Man has appeared in various commercials in which he comes to the aid of heavily parched people by offering them a Pepsi for quenching. After servicing the thirsty citizens, Pepsi Man always endures some sort of pain, which signalled the end of the commercial. The series of events that occur in the commercials also found their way into the Pepsi Man game.
Pepsi Man is one of a handful of mascots to make their way into the video game universe. Other mascot's featured in video games include Chester Cheetah for Cheetos and Spot of 7-up.
In Japan, the Saturn version of Fighting Vipers has Pepsi Man as an unlockable character. He was removed from the US and PAL releases, believed to be due to legal issues which would have arisen out of the importation of the character into other territories.

Raiden Fighters 2
Nov 28, 2010Raiden Fighters 2 takes place four years after the events of the first game. In the aftermath, a few surviving guerrilla groups gather under a dictator. Together, this rogue group forms a new nation and launches a salvo of attacks on the protagonist fighting forces. In response to these surprise attacks, the government recalls the previous troops into action once again, outfitted with retooled ordinances.
There are a total of seven stages, divided into three Missions. Stage environments include swamps, beaches, and high in the sky on a strafing run against very large bombers. Each of the first two Missions ends in a long boss encounter. The first two stages in these Missions are randomly ordered. The final Mission pits the player against an attack base and an experimental attack aircraft as bosses.
Like most games in the shoot 'em up genre, Raiden Fighters 2 has simplistic controls. A Fire button shoots the player craft's weaponry. A Bomb button unleashes an attack that deals massive damage to all enemy targets caught in its blast, as well as nullify enemy firepower. Bombing is most often used as a panic attack to save the player from death.
A new feature introduced in Raiden Fighters 2 is the Hybrid Attack, available only during a two-player game. This attack is initiated by both players unleashing their charged special attacks near simultaneously while within very close proximity within each other.
Scoring has been given a significant upgrade from the first game. Medals, bonus items that increase player score, appear far more frequently in Raiden Fighters 2.

Raiden Fighters
Nov 27, 2010In Raiden Fighters, there are five standard fighter craft from which to select, each with a Laser and a Missile weapon. Each standard fighter craft has different strengths and weaknesses. Depending on a particular machine's settings, the cameo ships Raiden mk-II and the Judge Spear can be directly chosen, or selected by performing a specific joystick sequence. The Raiden and Judge Spear differ from the standard planes in two respects. First, each uses their signature bomb rather than the Firestar bomb and begins each life with three of them. Second, instead of employing charged shots, the cameo planes can shoot both lasers and missiles simultaneously. The Slave plane is playable, inheriting the bomb and movement speed of the fighter craft they normally accompany.
The game's seven levels are divided into three distinct Missions. The first two Missions have three levels each. The final Mission is a lengthy fight through the enemy's fortress.
By default, the stage order is chosen at random. Players can force a specific stage order by holding the joystick in one of the four principal directions before pressing the Start button after inserting a coin.

Romance 3 Kingdoms
Nov 10, 2010Myths from the Three Kingdoms era existed as oral traditions before written compilations. With their focus on the history of Han Chinese, the stories grew in popularity during the reign of the foreign Mongol emperors of the Yuan Dynasty. During the succeeding Ming Dynasty, an interest in plays and novels resulted in further expansions and retelling of the stories.
The earliest attempt to combine these stories into a written work was Sanguozhi Pinghua (三國誌評話,三国志评话; Sānguózhì Pínghuà), literally "Story of Sanguozhi", published sometime between 1321 and 1323. This version combined themes of legend, magic, and morality to appeal to the peasant class. Elements of reincarnation and karma were woven into this version of the story.

Punisher
Nov 4, 2010The Punisher is a beat 'em up where Punisher and Fury embark on a quest to thwart the New York crime lord Kingpin, engaging on various foes and stage bosses mostly in hand-to-hand combat. Several established Marvel Universe villains appear throughout the game, such as the Mafia captain Bruno Costa, Bonebreaker, Bushwhacker, Jigsaw, and the Kingpin himself as the final boss.
The gameplay follows the same side-scrolling beat'em up formula Capcom established in Final Fight. Much in the same way that Capcom's Cadillacs and Dinosaurs did the same month, the game distinguishes itself by the frequent use of several firearms (Ingram submachine gun, M16 rifle, an improvised flamethrower), along with the traditional melee and thrown (including baseball bats, hammers, knives, Japanese swords and shuriken), as well as improvised weapons such as lead pipes or car tyres. There are also several sections of the game in which the characters draw their handguns enabling the player to shoot the enemies (only when facing the enemy characters armed with guns).

Real Bout Fatal Fury
Oct 29, 2010Real Bout changes the play controls from the previous Fatal Fury games, reducing the number of attack buttons from four to three: a standard Punch and Kick button, a "Strong Attack" button which can be either, a stronger punch or kick attack, depending on the character. The game retains the three-plane "oversway" system from Fatal Fury 3, which features a main lane for fighting, with foreground and background planes used to avoid attacks or leap towards the opponent. A dedicated button is now used to make an "oversway" (or change plane) towards the background or foreground.
Real Bout introduces a Power Gauge which fills up as player performs normal or special techniques against their opponent or defend themselves, similar to many super move gauges featured in other fighting games. The Power Gauge allows players to perform one of three types of Special Techniques, depending of the level of the Power Gauge.
* When the gauge is at least half-full and colored yellow, the player can perform "Guard Cancels", which are special counterattacks that can be performed by the player after blocking an opponent's attack. They do not consume any filled portion of the Power Gauge.
* When the Power Gauge reaches MAX level while the player still has more than half of his life gauge remaining, then the Power Gauge will enter "S. Power" level. The energy in the Power Gauge will begin to deplete gradually and during that time, the player can perform "Guard Cancels or a "Super Special Move" (a powerful Special Move). However, once a Super Special Move is performed, the remaining energy in the Power Gauge will be consumed and the Power Gauge will return to its initial state.
* When the Power Gauge reaches MAX level while the player has less than half of his life gauge remaining (when the life gauge is flashing red), the Power Gauge will enter "P. Power" level. In this state, the Power Gauge will gradually drain, but the player can perform both, Guard Cancels and Super Specials, indefinitely until the gauge runs out. The player can also perform a "Hidden Ability", an even more powerful Special Move (several to the Hidden Abilities in previous game), which will consume the remaining Power Gauge at this state.
Real Bout also introduces stages with ring-outs, a gameplay feature previous introduced in 3D fighting games such as Virtua Fighter. If the player performs certain attacks on their opponent while next to the boundaries, the character will eventually destroy the barrier keeping the opponent in the ring and be able to knock them out of the stage for an easy win.

Prehistoric Isle 2
Oct 8, 2010Getting Started
Press the one player start button to begin your war against the dinosaurs, then the two player button if you'd like some much-needed assistance from a friend. The player select screen will appear. Press the controller left and right to select between the two available pilots, then tap the fire button to lock in your choice. When both players have made their selections, they're thrown into the charred battlefield that was once known as New York City.
Tip: Bombs Away!
If deadly dinos are blocking your path to a civilian, just tap the bomb button and fire off a double helix shot. Even if it doesn't destroy the dinosaurs, you can use your temporary invincibility to sneak past them and rescue the civilian.
Tip: Score Multipliers
Weapons can only be powered up four times. However, you'll want to collect more weapons even after you've maxed out your firepower, because doing this starts a bonus timer. Hitting enemy targets while the bonus timer is active increases their point values by up to sixteen

Puzzle Bobble 2
Oct 5, 2010The game builds on the original by adding a Tournament style variation on the two player game for play against the computer and by adding a branching map to the one player game, allowing the player to periodically select one of two groups of five levels to play next, leading to different game endings. Some of the contestants in the new tournament mode are based on characters from Bubble Bobble, including variations on a MONSTA and a Mighta.
Some versions of the game, including the PlayStation, feature time Trial competitions in which a single player
attempts to finish simple rounds quickly enough to beat previous time records or two players simultaneously attempt to beat the records and each other.

Completion of the single player game gives the player a code which can be entered to unlock 'Another World' for the single player game, which features subtle changes to the existing levels to increase their difficulty and changes to all backdrops to resemble levels from Bubble Bobble. The various enemies from Bubble Bobble also make an appearance in the background of the credits sequence.
